Banks--Stop Funding the Keystone XL Pipeline!

The Keystone XL pipeline is back. The State Department under the Trump administration approved in March 2017 a permit authorizing TransCanada to build the KXL pipeline.

While our strategy to defeat the KXL pipeline under the previous administration involved, in part, organizing and running direct actions (with civil disobedience) at the State Dept in Washington, D.C., this time around we will “follow the money.” Climate First! will go after the banks which are funding TransCanada, and therefore indirectly the pipeline project. And we will align with Rainforest Action Network and others in an effort to defeat the climate-wrecking KXL pipeline once and for all.

Climate First!'s Keystone XL pipeline campaign is presently confronting Wells Fargo, asking the huge U.S. bank to end its financial relationship with TransCanada and its pipeline project.

Join Climate First! as we run monthly peaceful direct actions against Wells Fargo in the Mid-Atlantic region throughout 2017. See our next action here

Below: After the permit for the KXL pipeline was approved by the State Dept, Climate First! attended an emergency rally near the White House to show its resolve in opposing the project.
