Young students around the world will soon be calling on millions of adults to join their global climate strike on Friday, November 29, 2019, all in an effort to force action regarding the impending climate crisis.
Join Climate First! in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland on Nov. 29th as we show our support for the student "strikers" with a climate march and "strike" vs. JPMorgan Chase Bank, the largest investor in fossil fuels of any bank in the world. Please RSVP below.
What: A short march and protest against JPMorgan Chase Bank.
When: 11:30 am, Friday, Nov. 29, 2019. The event will end around 1 pm.
Where: Meet at outdoor Rachel Carson sculpture, 1132 Ripley St., Silver Spring, MD.
Misc: Meeting spot is a 3 minute walk from the SE exit of the Silver Spring Metro Station. Leave station, and turn right. Walk by bike racks, and soon proceed uphill on a sidewalk between the transit center and MARC train platform. At top of hill, turn left, and cross Ripley St. to sculpture. Limited time at lunch? Meet us at Chase Bank at 8435 Georgia Ave in downtown Silver Spring. Note: There is no civil disobedience or arrests planned at the event.
