Our Third Cleanup of E. Wayne Avenue in 2026
Join Climate First! tomorrow, 9:30 am, for a cleanup of a section of E. Wayne Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland. All needed equipment--gloves, orange vests, bags, "pic sticks", & other--will be provided as we make E. Wayne Ave (from Garland Ave to Sligo Creek Parkway) look its best. DETAILS
What: As part of the county's Adopt A Road program, Climate First! organizes periodic cleanups of E. Wayne Ave; all gear is provided.
When: The cleanup is 9:30 to 11:30 am, tomorrow, July 24, 2026. (Date & times can change due to weather.)
Where: We meet at the upper parking lot of Timberwood Townhouse Community, near 9125 Saffron Lane, Silver Spring, MD.

Climate First! Board of Directors Meeting

On Monday evening, August 24, 2026, Climate First!, Inc. will hold a Board of Directors meeting online. If you wish to see the inner workings of a small nonprofit working on the most critical issue on earth, please join us. Also, if you want to consider serving as a Board member for the organization, attending all or part of this meeting is a good way to see if it's your thing. See "DETAILS" below.
To attend the meeting, contact Ted Conwell, Board President. After receiving your contact information, he will email you a Zoom invite link and other necessary things for the meeting. Guests to the meeting may, of course, leave the gathering whenever they wish.

The annual Takoma Park Folk Festival is coming on Sunday, September 27, 2026. And Climate First! will be tabling again! "Details" below.
