On Saturday, June 14, 2025--Flag Day--Donald Trump is planning on having army tanks in the streets in Washington, D.C., and a TV display of dominance for his birthday, basically, a spectacle meant to look like strength. But real power isn't staged in the nation's capital, rather it rises up everywhere else.

Therefore, on June 14th, join Climate First! and many other groups and people around the U.S. as we rise up during the "No Kings" Mass Protest to reject the Trump administration's authoritarian excesses. While Donald Trump's birthday celebration is expected to cost millions of our tax dollars, many Republicans claim there's no money for Social Security, SNAP, or Medicaid.

This is bigger than political disagreement. Trump and his cronies have defied our courts, deported American citizens, disappeared people off the streets, and slashed our services — all while orchestrating a massive giveaway to their fossil fuel billionaire allies.

While Climate First! continues to push banks, and other financial institutions to end their financial backing of fossil fuels and fully  support renewable energy, we believe that fighting for democracy is also critical if we are to rein in catastrophic climate change. Thus, we will be attending a "No Kings" action on June 14th while we are on vacation in Massachusetts. And we also encourage you to join a No Kings action near you on June 14th.

We need to build a massive, visible, national rejection of this crisis (and in turn, the climate crisis). There are events planned across the country, in major cities and small towns in every state. Together we will show that we the people (the majority) are taking action to stop the corruption and power grab.
