Climate First!'s 13th Anniversary occurs on Sunday, November 16, 2025. And we are celebrating the BIG DAY, in part, by encouraging our dedicated supporters to make a donation during the 24 hours. Any amount that you can contribute during our Anniversary will help us continue our work helping to save the climate. And your donation will be MATCHED until the funding runs out. See "DETAILS" below.
In reviewing things that Climate First! has done over those (nearly) 13 years, we didn't have to go far back in time at all to find an inspiring and unique event that we had attended--a No Kings protest in Washington, DC on October 18, 2025. While there was an estimated 200,000 people at the D.C. event, overall, nearly seven million people participated in over 2,700 events around the U.S. (and beyond) on that day. The huge turnout throughout the country made it one of the biggest days of protest in American history!
Being on Pennsylvania Avenue with the U.S. Capital in the background, in a massive crowd of people concerned with the growing authoritarianism of the Trump administration, was pretty unique by itself. However, when I began to focus on the commotion around me, I was constantly astonished by what I saw: many clever signs; one-of-a-kind costumes representing animals, Donald Trump, the Statute of Liberty in chains, and other things; numerous children in attendance, including some in baby carriages; and a protestor walking on stilts! Even when the official event was over, a dance party started not far from the main stage, which my wife and I happily participated in. This No Kings event in Washington, DC was one of the most unique protests that Climate First! has ever been to.
