Why Should You Give To Climate First!'s Upcoming Earth Day Fundraiser?

Climate First!, Inc. is holding an online 24 hour fundraiser on Earth Day, Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Please donate to the nonprofit as we continue our work to help save the climate.

With the Trump administration essentially dismantling anything related to climate protection, while doing everything it can to return the country to using climate-wrecking fossil fuels, Climate First! has joined the movement to push back against the President's chaotic and far-reaching agenda. On April 5th, we attended a rally at the Washington Monument in Washington, DC--one of over 1,400 "Hands Off!" events around the country and beyond--where tens of thousands of people demanded "hands off!" to the administration and its horrific treatment of immigrants, federal workers, LGBTQ community, and others, as well as its lack of respect for the U.S. Constitution, science,  and the most important issue on earth--the climate crisis.

I must say that it was quite inspiring to see some of the tens of thousands of people telling Trump, Musk, and others in the federal government to end their attempt to destroy America's way of life.

Moving beyond just protesting the anti-climate actions by the Trump administration, Climate First! is also getting involved in political advocacy at the state level, where we will work to get “polluters pay” legislation passed.

his polluters pay legislation on January 7, 2025.

With New York State and Vermont having already passed this critical legislation, efforts are now also underway in California, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Minnesota to get fossil fuel companies to start paying for the damages resulting from climate-amplified natural disasters.

And finally, we will continue our work trying to convince major U.S. banks to divest from their massive fossil fuel investments.

After being quite involved in the Summer of Heat on Wall Street campaign in 2024--mostly an effort in New York City to convince Citibank to start divesting from dirty fossil fuels--Climate First! will join with many others in the upcoming Summer of Heat 2025 campaign. The effort will be focused on Citibank and Wells Fargo.

To continue this important work, Climate First! needs your financial help to cover expenses involving communication, travel, as well as office equipment and rent.

Please give generously to Climate First! on Earth Day, Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

Thank you for your support of our climate work.
