Takoma Park's Earth Day Celebration is coming on Sunday, April 27, 2025. Join this local event that is part of an annual world-wide celebration to demonstrate support for environmental protection, conservation, and sustainability. The first Earth Day was held on April 22, 1970, and it now includes a wide range of global happenings that reach 1 billion people in more than 193 countries. See "details" below.
At Takoma Park's Earth Day event, there will be fun and interesting things to do for everyone in the family, including snow cones, face painting, art activities, and educational materials about sustainability programs. Also, look over the EV showcase, attend a guided tree walk, and learn about the various environmental involvement opportunities in our community. Climate First! and other groups will be tabling at the event.
