Help save the climate by getting involved in a coalition-organized "Global Day of Action" this Friday, May 7, 2021 vs. the Line 3 pipeline. Climate First! is calling on people to either 1) organize their own peaceful and short action against Wells Fargo bank branches in their neighborhoods; or 2) attend an organized larger action being planned at Well Fargo branches around the U.S., and even the world.
Wells Fargo is one of the major funders of the partially-built Line 3, which if finished by the energy company, Enbridge, would transport an estimated 760,000 barrels of carbon-intensive tar sands oil every day from Canada to Wisconsin.

In addition to Line 3's devastating impact over time to the world's climate, the pipeline would destroy the sacred wild rice beds that the local Anishinaabe people depend-on for their food, culture, and way of life. Finally, the pipeline would endanger more than 800 waterways.
With time running-out on solving the climate crisis, let's do our part to keep the pressure on large U.S. banks, such as Wells Fargo, that are funding fossil fuel projects such as Line 3.
To organize a simple action (or two) at your local Wells Fargo branch, you should deliver two documents (cover letter, and a report about the banks funding Line 3) outlining Wells Fargo's massive involvement with climate-wrecking fossil fuels to the branch manager. Click here to locate the Wells Fargo bank branch closest to you. Note: We strongly encourage that all actions follow CDC's COVID-19 pandemic guidelines, and only two participants actually enter the bank to deliver the documents to the manager. Also, in all your interactions during this event, please be respectful in "word and deed". Finally, please alert us to your plans so we can properly help you. See contact info below.
If you would rather attend actions organized by others, see two local actions below.
