On Saturday, January 26, 2019, Extinction Rebellion D.C. will join other Extinction Rebellion groups around the U.S. by running a nonviolent direct action on "Rebellion Day". 

Activists, including those from Climate First!, will gather in Washington, D.C. on Rebellion Day to demand that the federal government: 1) stop lying to the American people about climate change; and 2) enact measures that will enable the world to avoid the impending climate catastrophe. PLEASE BE AWARE that some trained activists may engage in civil disobedience, and could be arrested during this direct action.

Where: Meet at Pershing Park, 14th Street & Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington, D.C. Closest Metro stations: Metro Center, & Federal Triangle.
