Given the latest climate reports from the IPCC and the US government, it is too late for "business as usual" as far as saving our climate. Therefore, you are invited to a public talk in NW Washington, D.C., this coming Saturday about the Extinction Rebellion, the new climate movement taking England and now the world by storm. Since last November when thousands of Extinction Rebellion (XR) activists shut down London for half a day, XR groups have quickly spread across the globe, and are now in 35 countries and 25 U.S. cities, including Washington, D.C.
XR-D.C. organizers will share their thoughts about the latest climate science, XR’s short history, the group's demands, its nonviolent tactics, among other things.
