This Friday, September 19, 2025, join Climate First! and others in Washington, DC as we celebrate the upcoming Sun Day, by participating in a "Petrostate Tour" organized by Third Act Actions Lab. Sun Day (Sept. 21) is a national recognition of the unstoppable rise of cheap and clean energy, as well as the growing movement to leave climate-wrecking fossil fuels behind forever. And the Petrostate Tour makes it abundantly clear that the U.S. is still much too dependent on fossil fuels. For "DETAILS" and/or to RSVP, go below.
The Petrostate tour, will begin with a rally near a park, followed by a visit of four business entities that have seemingly helped turn the United States into a petrostate. Alarmingly, fossil fuel companies in the U.S. currently use every trick in the book to delay the inevitable transition to low-cost and carbon-free solar energy. And by delaying the use of clean solar energy, the world's countries and natural areas are experiencing increasingly greater climate-amplified natural disasters. This Friday, we will push back by visiting four dirty "tools" of the oil, gas, and coal companies, including:
- American Gas Association
- Interstate Natural Gas Association of America
- American Petroleum Institute; and
- Venture Global LNG, Inc.
