In solidarity with the People vs Fossil Fuels "Week of Action" planned for October 11-15, 2021 in Washington, D.C.--where many will be performing civil disobedience outside the White House in an effort to push President Biden to end the fossil fuel era--Climate First! will run its third action of the week against fossil fuel-supporting banks. Details are below.

We'll do a "bank walk" to four or five nearby banks in Bethesda, MD.
Friday, October 15, 2021; 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Meet at Harris Teeter Supermarket, 4805 Battery Lane, Bethesda, MD. Enter the supermarket's entrance at corner of Woodmont Ave. and Battery Lane, and immediately look for folks at tables. After some planning, we'll walk to the nearby banks. FYI: There's a public parking garage, 8216 Woodmont Ave, ¼ of a block from supermarket. Cost is $1.00/hour. Also, the Bethesda Metro Station (Red Line) is about a 10 min walk from the supermarket.
Climate First! is organizing this event.
MISC.: We ask that all participants in this event wear masks, & abide by CDC pandemic guidelines. Also, we request that only people that have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 attend the actions.
Please note that we will not be engaging in civil disobedience during these events. Bring a sign or two if you can. Also, bring water & snacks, and dress for the weather. Can't stay the whole time? Just come for as long as you can. PLEASE RSVP BELOW.
