Let's Push Climate-Polluting Bank, Wells Fargo, To Clean Up Its Act

Join a bank action today, organized by Th!rd Act and 350MoCo, in DT Silver Spring, Maryland. In the action, the participants, including Climate First!, will be calling on Wells Fargo bank to end its funding of new fossil fuel projects. For details and/or to RSVP, go to bottom.

Why Wells Fargo? Of all the banks in the world, Wells Fargo is the third largest investor in fossil fuels over the past seven years, investing over $300 billion in climate-wrecking energy projects and companies. Put in another way, after nearly every nation on earth signed the Paris Climate Accord in 2015--a world effort to bring down emissions of planet-warming pollution--major banks such as Wells Fargo have continued to massively fund dirty energy. Today, in downtown Silver Spring, we will demand that Wells Fargo stop investing immediately in new fossil fuel projects, as the United Nations and the International Energy Agency have both called on all countries around the world to do.
