Wall Street banks, such as JPMorgan Chase, continue to lend massive amounts of monies to fossil fuel interests, despite climate-driven weather events such as killer heat waves, mega-droughts (often followed by deadly wildfires), and flash floods wreaking havoc in the U.S. and around the world.  

Join Climate First! as part of the 200+ group nationwide coalition, Stop The Money Pipeline (STMP), where we engage Chase Bank in STMP's "Blame Wall Street" campaign. This Friday, October 7, 2022, we continue our weekly actions at Chase branches in the Wash., D.C. area by demanding that the lender--the #1 investor in fossil fuels of any bank in the world--divest from dirty fossil fuels, and invest in clean energy. For details and to RSVP, go below.

What: A short march, followed by a peaceful rally, at a local Chase Bank branch.
When: 11:30 am EDT, Friday, October 7, 2022. Event ends at 1 pm. 
Where: Meet outside Pansa Llena Mexican Grill, located in the White Oak Shopping Center, 11279A New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD; the Chase Bank is a five minute march away. 
Misc1: Please RSVP below for the event. Event goes forward, rain or shine. Bring a sign if you can. NOTE: There is no civil disobedience nor arrests planned at this event. Also, Climate First! recommends that participants wear a Covid-safe mask.
