On Friday, October 29, 2021, young people are rising-up around the world to demand an immediate end to the funding of fossil fuel expansion. In solidarity with the youth, Climate First! and others will attend a rally this Friday at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve ("Federal Reserve Board") in Washington, D.C. In the rally, we'll demand that the Federal Reserve Board direct the nation's banks to take climate risk in account when investing their billions of dollars into climate-wrecking fossil fuels.
EVENT DETAILS:
WHAT: A demonstration at the Federal Reserve Board to demand action on the climate crisis.
WHEN: 9-10 am, EDT, Friday, October 29, 2021.
WHERE: Constitution Ave., NW, & 20th St. NW, Wash., D.C. Action will be at Constitution Ave. building entrance. Closest Metro stations: Farragut West (Blue, Or, Silver) & Farragut North (Red)
WHO: Public Citizen, 350 US, and Positive Money US are organizing this event.
MISC.: Climate First! ask that its supporters wear masks to this event, & abide by CDC pandemic guidelines. Also, we request that only supporters that have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 attend the action. Bring a sign or two if you can. Here's info about the Federal Reserve.
