This coming Thursday, April 1, Climate First! will attend a rally in Washington, D.C. led by Indigenous youth and others that will call on President Biden to “Build Back Fossil Free," and do away with the climate-wrecking Dakota Access and Line 3 pipelines.
For too long, Indigenous communities have carried the weight of our country’s addiction to dirty oil and gas. The spirit of the frontline, indigenous pipeline resistance, is now coming to the nation's capital to demand that the president stop the flow of oil carried by the Dakota Access Pipeline, as well as end construction of the Line 3 pipeline project.
If you feel comfortable in doing so, please come support the indigenous activists this Thursday morning, at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers HQ in Washington, D.C. The organizers of the event are asking everyone to RSVP for the rally.
What: A rally vs the Dakota Access Pipeline and Line 3 pipeline, followed by a short march to the White House.
When: 11 am, EDT, Thursday, April 1, 2021.
Where: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers HQ, 441 G Street, NW, Washington, DC; closest Metro Station: Judiciary Square (Red line). To join us, look for the Climate First! banner.
