Climate First! will join other organizations this coming Monday morning at the U.S. Supreme Court for a rally against the Atlantic Coast Pipeline (ACP) and all pipelines.
The U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in a case to determine if the ACP can cross the Appalachian Trail. This is the first time that the Supreme Court has heard a pipeline case in some time. And therefore it's an opportunity for the Court to create precedent regarding the siting of the ACP and pipelines in general, as well as to put a check on the fossil fuel industry. Importantly for those organizations campaigning against Chase Bank, the lender is a top funder of the ACP.
NOTE: There may be people trained in civil disobedience (CD) at this action who will risk arrest. However, it is our understanding that engaging in CD during this event is optional.
