On August 15, 2025, join Climate First! and many others during a National Day of Action, where we will demand that Wells Fargo--"Be a Better Bank!"

You ask: "why a National Day of Action on Wells Fargo?" 

Well, Wells Fargo is the only major U.S. bank to have dropped its commitment to net-zero climate emissions by 2050, across its financed portfolio. And since it is critical that the other major US banks--which are mostly the leading banks in the world as far as investing in fossil fuels--keep abiding by their climate emissions targets, we must publicly make Wells Fargo pay for its climate-wrecking decision. For "DETAILS" and/or to RSVP, go below.  

Wells Fargo's disgusting behavior doesn't end there as the bank has also: 1) strongly opposed any unionization of its employees; 2) promoted a plan to privatize the USPS, and sell it off in parts; 3) dropped its pledge to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), despite the lender's long history of racist lending practices; 4) funded, in a big way, companies such as Palantir that partner with ICE to deport immigrants; and 5) funded, in a major way, companies like Elbit Systems, a major provider of weapons and technologies to the Israeli military, that has led to mass atrocities in Palestine.

DETAILS:
What: During the National Day of Action on Wells Fargo, there will be events at numerous Wells Fargo banks across the country. In Washington, D.C., Climate First! will perform a "bank walk" by visiting at least three different Wells Fargo bank branches. Each event will be peaceful, and will consist of a petition-delivery and rally.  
When: The National Day of Action on Wells Fargo will take place on Friday, August 15, 2025. There will be numerous actions throughout the country on that day, including the Climate First! action, which will run from noon until about 1:15 pm in Wash., D.C.    
Where: We will meet at Panera Bread restaurant at 11:15 am to plan our local action. This restaurant is located at 601 13th Street, NW, Wash. D.C.; 202-420-5901. Closest Metro stop: Metro Center. And find Panera near the 13th and G station entrance/exit.   
Misc: Please RSVP below. Also, if you can't stay the whole time, just meet us at the first Wells Fargo branch at 1350 NY Ave, NW (14th & NY) at noon, and stay for as many banks actions as you can.
